We are pleased to announce that REDARC has achieved the distinguished European quality standard E-Mark after a successful audit by the Vehicle Certification Agency Australia (VCA) which took place in June.
E-mark is a European automotive certification scheme that is governed by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) for countries outside of the European Union. It is part of the World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations - WP 29, which aims to provide a unique framework for globally harmonized regulations on vehicles. This deals with matters such as road safety, environmental protection and trade.
The E-Mark indicates that a product complies with all the relevant regulations of the European Union. This ensures that all automobile and motorcycle products sold by manufacturers and operated by users conform to basic safety and environmental standards. All products covered by regulatory controls must be tested and certified, and display the appropriate mark.
Speaking about the E-mark certification, Craig Herriot Export and Commercial Manager at REDARC said, “The E-mark certification opens the door for vehicle customization in the European market, it is a prerequisite for any aftermarket automotive product produced outside of Europe as it shows manufacturers, distributors and customers that we can effectively manage hazards and environmental issues to European standards”.
