REDARC is proud to be chosen as a partner of Luminact, as the primary onboard power supply partner to the TAIPAN Concept Demonstrator Vehicle.
TheTaipan CDV was released at Land Forces in 2021 and was designed using a commercial off-the-shelf Can-Am Maverick X3, which has been modified to closely align with current Defence requirements.
The Taipan CDV also demonstrates product and system agnostic integration using open architectures, and equipment from Australian companies such as Barrett 2080+ radios, and the EOS R150 remote weapon station.
REDARC manufactures and designs high performance and ruggedised onboard power solutions for applications such as this.
About REDARC
REDARC Electronics was established in 1979, and is an Australian, privately-owned and award-winning, medium sized enterprise successfully supplying patented electronic solutions to global markets including automotive, mining, defence and emergency services.
ABS and EBS systems help you to drive and tow more safely. ABS was first developed for aircraft, before becoming popular in the Mercedes-Benz luxury vehicles in the 1970s. EBS is a braking system that supports safe towing using electronic communication to adjust the braking pressure appropriately across the wheels.
You can plan to bring electronic devices on your next camping trip to the beautiful Australian outdoors. A 12V power setup that uses an additional car battery means you can run 12V appliances anywhere.
For trips longer than a single night, or 4WDing during the warmer months, a dual battery setup for a fridge is key to keeping food fresh. With an auxiliary battery, you can keep the fridge on (and beer cold) without discharging your starter battery.
