REDARC is proud to partner with Get Home Safe Foundation for 2024.
The not-for-profit organisation was established to develop, produce and deliver road safety initiatives. The foundation also provides support for road safety groups across Australia with mentorship and funding as well as advocating for existing initiatives.
Part of REDARC’s sponsorship will go towards the Regional Road Safety Alliance Program with Work Zone Traffic Control as a co-sponsor. This program will cover the Tailem Bend to Mount Gambier areain South Australia.
Launching this year, the pilot program will be a collaboration between regional road safety groups, local councils and emergency services.
Get Home Safe Foundation President, Darren Davis, said the program will give local stakeholders more ownership of how to make their local roads safer.
“With a more locally focussed approach, we are sure that we can create improved driver behaviours and safer road infrastructure in the areas that need it the most. The hope is that we can be guided by the locals who know what their issues are.”
This could be anything from speeding issues, drink driving, or development of education initiatives to road maintenance and safety signage for dangerous stretches of road.
“With the support from the foundation, the program will include road safety mentorship and financial support for local road safety initiatives at a scale never seen before.”

REDARC Managing Director Anthony Kittel said,
"REDARC is delighted to support to the Get Home Safe Foundation’s invaluable efforts in promoting road safety awareness and education in South Australia. We have always admired the dedication of Darren Davis and his passion for road safety and reducing road trauma. This along with REDARC’s mandate to travel safety wherever you go around our great country means we are thrilled to provide funding to this fantastic organisation."
"We know that regional roads are our most dangerous and REDARC eagerly anticipates implementation of initiatives to support regional volunteer road safety groups. This is only made possible through the collaboration of co-sponsors and various local organisations.”
