Michael Sukker from Access Auto Electrics in Brisbane is the Queensland REDNetwork representive for the REDNetwork Advisory Council. The council has been set up to provide members a local contact to share identified opportunities as well as needs in their business. Members of the council will meet throughout the year to discuss these amongst other REDNetwork related business.
Access Auto Electrics started in 2004 as a mobile business and after two years, we opened our workshop in Ashgrove, Brisbane. We have been operating at our workshop premises since September 2006 and currently have five fully qualified Auto Electricians, one apprentice and three office/admin staff.
Our business is highly focused on all auto electrical diagnostics and repairs and fault finding in vehicles and RVs. We also specialise in air conditioning, towing solutions and basic and custom built electrical fit outs.
In recent years, we have seen an increase in the demand for off-grid fit outs and power management systems in vehicles, caravans and campers. During that time, we have used several products from leading stock list providers. We were attracted to the REDARC products mainly because of the quality, performance, and excellent technical support.
We decided to join the REDNetwork in 2022 as this would allow us to become certified REDARC installers and join the national support network. The benefits of accessing the full range of REDARC products and promoting these to our customers has seen our business grow and become reputable in all off-grid and battery management systems. The 1-year extended warranty and the ability to go nationwide for warranty repairs has also been a great selling point.
It is great to see the REDNetwork growing throughout Australia. REDARC has been able to bring so many Auto Electricians together for the same purpose. This has been evident at the REDARC conferences over the last few years. The conferences provide valuable networking opportunities, as well as information regarding new and old products.
It was an honor to be asked to be a founding member of the REDNetwork Advisory Council. Through my experience in the field, I have seen a lot of changes and I hope to be able to provide insight and advice about what our customers are looking for. I believe it’s important for REDARC to have an advisory council to ensure that auto electricians feel directly connected and up to date with new products and initiatives.
My advice to new REDNetwork members is to believe in the products you are selling, and it will sell itself.
