REDARC is proud to announce the release of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) In-Vehicle Battery Chargers designed specifically for charging Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) type batteries.
Australian designed and made, the LFP In-vehicle battery chargers are based on REDARC’s award winning BCDC platform, making them more efficient than anything else on the market.
Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries are becoming more popular due to their improved storage capacity relative to size and weight, making them perfect for recreational vehicle power systems. They do, however require specific charging conditions in order to operate correctly and the battery itself must have cell balancing and an in-built battery management system. REDARC have considered this and designed a charging profile to compliment the in-built battery systems.
A unique two stage charging profile ensure the auxiliary battery is able to achieve and maintain an optimal charge. The LFP charger constantly monitors the vehicle battery input charge level and turns off charging should the charge drop or if the vehicle is switched off, so it will not flatten the start battery, keeping you on the road for longer.
The LFP chargers feature a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator allowing the use of solar power to boost the power supply. The MPPT regulator delivers the maximum available amount of power from solar panels to an auxiliary battery, even during low light conditions.
The LFP range is tailored to suit every unique experience, there is the option of 25 or 40 amp output models to choose from to suit the battery size, required charge rate and application. Low voltage models are also offered for vehicles fitted with an ECU controlled variable voltage alternator.
For a longer and convenient touring experience, the REDARC LFP chargers are designed, built and tested in Australia to make sure they won’t let you down.
