REDARC, a leading Australian innovator in advanced portable power solutions and electronic systems, today announced the acquisition of Asension's intellectual property (IP). Asension, a renowned veteran-owned Electronic Warfare (EW) company, announced voluntary administration earlier this year.
REDARC Defence & Space will leverage Asension’s IP to continue advancing electronic warfare, engineering, and operations, while expanding partnerships with Universities, the Defence Science and Technology Group, and industry partners. The acquisition of Asension’s innovative Wombat and MOESS solutions will support the development of sophisticated sovereign technologies to enhance Australia’s Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Electronic Warfare (ISREW) capabilities.
In 2022, Asension was awarded a significant $4.35 million grant through the Defence Innovation Hub to develop a space-based tactical sensor system for Defence.
