REDARC is thrilled to be a Trail Sponsor of the CFS Foundation’s Fire Trail.
The Country Fire Service Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, incorporated in November 2001 to “honour, support and care for South Australian CFS volunteers”.
The inaugural Fire Trail will be held from Friday 30 September to Monday 3 October 2016 (October long weekend).
30 September 2016 - Dinner and overnight stay at Freeling
1 October 2016 - Lunch at Burra; dinner and overnight stay at Peterborough
2 October 2016 - Lunch at Quorn; dinner and overnight stay at Brinkworth
3 October 2016 - Lunch at Mallala and return home
The 2016 route weaves through an interesting blend of sealed and unsealed roads, exploring the mid-North and lower Flinders Ranges, passing through a number of previous bushfire regions along the way.
The team at REDARC are looking forward to supporting the CFS Foundation. Shane, Production Manager, will be leading the REDARC team. REDARC is inspired by the work of Country Fire Service Foundation and wanted to support them by raising money as part of their participation in Fire Trail 2016. When travelling solo or with the family, you may want to bring a laptop. Maybe it’s for entertaining the kids, editing videos on the go, or watching a movie. However you plan to use it, you’ll need an inverter to ensure laptop-safe power to keep it charged.
We all love a camping trip, whether it’s getting away for the weekend with the family or testing your truck out on some tough 4WD tracks. But sometimes a quick camping trip is not enough, and to truly get off grid you're going to need a reliable 12V setup.
Overlanding across lengthy stretches of road can be a difficult task due to the time, few places to stop off at and the minimal amounts of cars and people. For a safer journey, keep your mind active and your power running with these tips from REDARC.
