We understand that there is nothing more exciting and liberating than roaming the unknown. From coast to coast and everything in between, road or no road. To do this you need to be confident in your setup because there is nothing worse than your gear letting you down.
From Electric Brake Controllers for towing, dual battery chargers, DC power supplies and battery isolators to keep the fridge running or gauges to monitor temp and pressure. Whether it is a van, truck, or overlanding rig REDARC has a product that can get your rig up and running and keep you on the road longer.
Why choose REDARC?
With 40 years of manufacturing behind us, we like to think we know a thing or two about building quality overlanding products. Designed for the rugged Australian outback, REDARC products are built tough enough to handle anything you can throw at them.
Within everyone there is an explorer seeking inspiration for their next adventure. This adventurous spirit is in our DNA, it pushes us to do things better and empowers our customers to have the confidence in our products that they will do what we promise.
What goes into a REDARC product?
Built onsite at our manufacturing facility in South Australia, we pride ourselves on being Australian Made. It all starts in our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line. SMT is responsible for producing the circuit boards that are inside all REDARC products. Starting with bare printed circuit boards, SMT load all the surface mount components including large transformers, capacitors, and connectors.
These circuit boards then move into the beating heart of REDARC, also known as our Production department, where they get built into our products. Production then test the products to make sure they are working as they should and package them up ready to go to our customers.
As one of our core values, innovation plays a big part in every REDARC product. With 15% of profits invested into research and development every year we are constantly working on new products with features and benefits to best suit our customers’ needs.
Overlanding products made to last
REDARC’s knowledge of Australian conditions is engineered into every unit we produce; this means they are tough as nails. We want to make sure all our products not only survive but thrive long after they leave our facility. Our team of in-house electronics, mechanical and firmware engineers work together to make sure products are user friendly and made to the highest REDARC standards.
This is also reinforced with our testing. Every REDARC product is tested in our accelerated lifetime and environment testing, which accelerates 10 years of product life and use over just 2 days. Products are cooled to minus 148°F, heated to 392°F and placed in the ‘Shake and Bake’, a machine which simulates driving conditions and temperature and humidity extremes that products are subjected to on the road.
Customer is King
“Customer is King” is a motto that we take very seriously at REDARC. Our in-house technical support team are dedicated to supporting customers with all kinds of product enquiries and troubleshooting and are often able to diagnose issues over the phone. Next time you give REDARC a call you will likely be speaking to one of our knowledgeable tech gurus.
Technical support is also available through the website, social media and email making it easy to access at any time. If it’s a simple fix you’re after our website has a whole range of technical tips, diagnostic tools, calculators, and FAQ’s to get you back on the road as quick as possible.
Experts Choice
Having been in the overlanding industry for many years now we’ve realised that there is no better way to see how a product works than to see it working! Because of this we work with several overlanding and 4x4 experts and let them put REDARC products through their paces. Our experts push REDARC products to their limits in both the US and Australia to really prove their worth and show viewers the best their countries have to offer.
