2019 sees Australian manufacturer REDARC Electronics return to the SEMA Show for the fourth consecutive year to present their latest range of innovative products at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 5th to the 8th at booth #38049.
The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, attracting over 2,400 exhibiters. It is said to draw the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place.
REDARC Export Manager Craig Herriot said, “SEMA is a great opportunity for REDARC to present the award-winning Tow-Pro Elite Electric Trailer Brake Controller, the Manager30 battery management system, our range of DC-DC Battery Chargers and our selection of Smart Start SBI dual battery isolators and 2.05” (52MM) voltage gauges.”
“In addition, we look forward to the educational seminars, product demonstrations and networking opportunities SEMA provides us,” he said.
REDARC were named SEMA Global Media Award Winner in 2017 and 2018 for their acclaimed Tow-Pro Elite Electronic Brake Controller and range of high-powered DC-DC Battery Chargers, the BCDC1225D and BCDC1240D.
Showcasing the new 50amp DC to DC charger
This year REDARC have entered their newly released 50amp variant (BCDC1250D) In-vehicle battery charger into the New Product Showcase for participation in SEMA’s annual New Product Awards competition.
The new, bigger, more powerful 12-volt dual input 50amp DC to DC charger is also now available for purchase through the REDARC website and through REDARC’s key distribution channels.
The BCDC1250D supplies the correct charge to the auxiliary battery whilst preventing a flat start battery. Having the secondary battery correctly and fully charged will allow users to power all their gadgets and electronic accessories whilst on the move.
And with its 50-amp charging output, the BCDC1250D is the most powerful in REDARC’s BCDC range making it ideal to quickly power 12-volt electrical accessories in a trailer, motorhome or caravan, such as electrical hydraulic pumps, fridges, lights, tailgates, phones, laptops and camera chargers whilst on the move.
The BCDC1250D has been developed to provide a higher current output, it features an additional charging stage known as SoftStart which has been engineered so that it can handle more demanding applications.
Like the 25amp and 40amp variants in the BCDC Dual range, the BCDC1250D has separate vehicle DC and solar inputs. The unit will charge from solar panels and the vehicle’s start battery simultaneously and, with in-built ‘Green Power Priority’, it will select solar charging first, taking the load off the vehicle alternator.
Tested and proven to charge an auxiliary battery to 100% state of charge, the BCDC1250D provides specific charging profiles for all common battery types including AGM, standard lead acid, calcium and lithium iron phosphate (LiFeP04) batteries.
It is compatible with fixed, temperature compensating and variable voltage (smart) alternators and works with 12 and 24-volt vehicle electrical systems.
REDARC's Export Manager, Mr Craig Herriot, said that REDARC’s BCDC Dual range has been well received in the North American market.
“The dual input BCDC’s have proven to be popular with the end users and the feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive. The addition of a 50amp model will allow the consumer to charge higher capacity RV batteries or multiple battery banks.”
With 40 years’ experience in the research, design, development and manufacture of battery chargers, REDARCs’ knowledge of North American conditions has been factored into the engineering of every unit, allowing REDARC products to set a new industry standard.
