REDARC, a leading Australian innovator in advanced portable power solutions and electronic systems, today announced the acquisition of Asension's intellectual property (IP). Asension, a renowned veteran-owned Electronic Warfare (EW) company, announced voluntary administration earlier this year.
REDARC Defence & Space will leverage Asension’s IP to continue advancing electronic warfare, engineering, and operations, while expanding partnerships with Universities, the Defence Science and Technology Group, and industry partners. The acquisition of Asension’s innovative Wombat and MOESS solutions will support the development of sophisticated sovereign technologies to enhance Australia’s Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Electronic Warfare (ISREW) capabilities.
In 2022, Asension was awarded a significant $4.35 million grant through the Defence Innovation Hub to develop a space-based tactical sensor system for Defence.
As part of the REDARC Group, REDARC Defence & Space is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology to meet the evolving demands of the defence and space industries. Through the acquisition of Asension’s intellectual property, REDARC Defence & Space will continue to develop and deploy critical defence technologies.
This acquisition underscores REDARC’s commitment to supporting the Australian Defence Industry and strengthening Australia’s sovereign defence capabilities.
At REDARC, we know that the heart of any great adventure lies in the technology that powers it. For over 45 years, we’ve been at the forefront of power management solutions, ensuring overlanders like the team at XOVERLAND can rely on uninterrupted power no matter where the journey takes them.
On their latest expedition, Spirit of Adventure, XOVERLAND co-founder Clay Croft and his sons are racing 8,500 miles from Bozeman, Montana, to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Along the way, they rely on REDARC’s robust products to keep their gear running smoothly, ensuring a seamless experience across rugged terrains and unpredictable weather.
Living full-time on the road for 11 years, we’ve learned that reliable power isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. From 10 wild weeks of sublime craziness in Iceland (including eight without a diesel heater) to our biggest adventure yet, the Mega Transect, we need a setup that will serve us well, no matter where we are.
April 2, 2025 – REDARC, a leader in off-grid power solutions, is proud to announce the launch of its REDWORKS QuickFit Power Panels, a revolutionary all-in-one power system designed to simplify installations for RV and van manufacturers. These panels integrate critical power components like the Manager Alpha, dual TVMS Rogues, and all necessary wiring into a single unit.
