This Australian Made Week, we are celebrating what local manufacturing means to REDARC, our customers and the wider industry.
Being Australian Made has always been central to how we design, build and test our products. From our home in South Australia, we have been manufacturing products trusted by travellers, trades, fleets, emergency services and defence applications across Australia and around the world since 1979.

For REDARC Managing Director Anthony Kittel, Australian Made is a clear strength for the business.
"With our growing export portfolio, we know that Australian Made is a competitive advantage," Anthony says.
"We know that Australians also feel strongly about supporting local industry, and using the Australian Made logo is the easiest way for customers to identify and align our products with these beliefs."

For our customers, Australian Made provides confidence. It means our products are backed by local engineering, local manufacturing, rigorous testing and a team focused on making things better.
"When a product is known to be made in Australia, there is an immediate connection to higher quality standards, especially in our industry where Australia is considered a world leader," Anthony says.
That connection matters to us. REDARC products are built and tested for Australia's harsh conditions, from heat and dust to vibration, corrugations and remote-area travel. Designing and manufacturing in Australia means we understand the environments our products are made for, and the needs of the people who rely on them.

It also means our engineering, testing and manufacturing teams work closely together. That helps us improve quickly, respond to customer feedback and keep refining the way we design and build our products.
"Manufacturing in Australia keeps us close to the whole process, from design and engineering through to production and testing," Anthony says. "That's a real advantage for our customers because our teams can work together closely, solve problems quickly and keep improving the product."
SUPPORTING AUSTRALIAN MANUFACTURING CAPABILITY
In recent years, the importance of local manufacturing has become even clearer. Global supply chain disruptions and changing market conditions have shown how important it is for Australia to keep strong manufacturing skills and capability here at home.

REDARC Defence & Space recently completed phase one of a landmark $50 million Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Hub in Lonsdale, a highly secure, state-of-the-art facility that will create 200 new skilled jobs by 2032 and advance Australia's capability in defence and space manufacturing.
