TOW-PRO WIRING KITS AVAILABLE


REDARC provide universal wiring kit options for the Tow-Pro Elite. The difference between the Universal Wiring Kit (TPWKIT-013) and the Universal Extended Wiring Kit (TPWKIT-014) is the Universal Extended Wiring Kit (014) kit comes with a longer power harness for the increased cable run to the start battery. Please see picture below to aid in your decision.

Please note, that if you are unsure, get the TPWKIT-014 kit as this will give you more cable to work with.

REDARC have a range of Tow-Pro Elite remote head wiring cables in lengths from 1m - 6m to increase the flexibility of installation. Our range of US vehicle specific wiring harnesses provides the ability to connect the Tow-Pro Elite directly into the factory towing package connector behind a vehicle dash.

COMPATIBILITY AND CONNECTION NOTES
  • V1 & V2 utilised a CAT5 cable with twin RJ45 connectors
  • Tow-Pro Elite V3 utilises automotive grabde 8 pin connectors

  • The Tow-Pro Elite 12V is compatible with all Tow-Pro Switch Inserts except TPSI-008, TPSI-010, TPSI-011 and TPSI-012, and also compatible with all Tow-Pro wiring kits

  • Tow Pro-Elite 12V is not compatible with the Ford Everest and Ranger

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TOW-PRO WIRING KIT AND A WIRING HARNESS?

The Tow-Pro Wiring Harnesses have been designed specifically to work with the factory tow package connectors behind the dash in a range of US specific vehicles.  

WHAT SIZE WIRE DO I NEED FOR THE REDARC TOW-PRO?

  • Black and blue wires, use 3mm² Cable (6mm automotive cable or 12AWG)
  • Red and White wires, use 1.25mm² Cable (4mm automotive cable or 16AWG)

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE TOW-PRO WIRING KIT PACKAGE?

The REDARC Tow-Pro Wiring Kits come with the complete range of hardware required to install a Tow-Pro Brake Controller. That includes a Wago Boot, Protection Device, Wiring Harness, Mounting Bracket and fitting instructions.

 

REDARC recommends that our products are installed by a qualified auto electrician or technician. We recommend product installation through a member of the REDNetwork, suitably qualified auto electrician or installer which can be found using the Find An Installer tool on the REDARC website.
