REDARC named Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Exporter of the Year

For the second year running, REDARC has been recognised on the national stage after winning this year’s Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Exporter of the Year at the 2023 Australian Export Awards.

The Awards were co-presented by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce (ACCI).

The Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Award represents outstanding international success in manufacturing, engineering, and advanced materials development, with REDARC up against category winners from each state.

This award win comes after REDARC previously received the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials, and Exporter of the Year awards at the 2023 South Australian Premier’s Export Awards.

Managing Director, Anthony Kittel said, “This success provides a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment to our incredibly smart team who innovate, design, manufacture and sell our world class auxiliary power systems,” said Anthony.

“One of the key hallmarks of our success is the unique blend of local manufacturing and high-quality solutions, with unrivalled after-sales and technical support."

This accolade follows a major milestone of REDARC Defence & Space securing an A$23 million contract in partnership with UK-based MARL International for the 2022–23 financial year.

REDARC recently invested in a second manufacturing facility in Adelaide’s Lonsdale West, catering to the defence, heavy vehicle, mining and industrial industries. The expansion also factored the environmental impact to reduce emissions and develop a sustainable and responsible culture.

Efforts to expand further globally have proved to be fruitful, with a multi-year strategic plan to service North American, European and UK markets.

Held at Parliament House in Canberra on the 30th of November, the Australian Export Awards were attended by REDARC owners and Directors Anthony and Michele Kittel.

We would like to acknowledge to fellow category finalists AW Bell, Currawong Engineering, Frosty Boy Global, Gelflex, Pharmako Biotechnologies and SPEE3D.

Congratulations to Care Essentials, winner of the Australian Exporter of the Year award. Their innovation to achieve good health outcomes in the healthcare sector nationally and globally is inspiring.

2023 marks the 61st Australian Export Awards, Australia’s most prestigious and longest-running export awards program. The award program celebrates the achievement of Australian businesses exporting home-grown innovation to the world.
