The REDARC Smart Start® SBI24D is a dual battery isolator used to isolate the start and auxiliary batteries in a dual battery system. It will protect the start battery from a low charge in the secondary battery so it won’t drain the primary battery. The SBI24D provides 24 volt DC incorporating 100A of continuous ratings.
Dual Sensing
The dual sensing model is used to isolate the start and auxiliary batteries in a system where the auxiliary battery may also be charged by an external source such as Solar panels or an external AC battery charger. The SBI24D also allows the start battery to be topped up and charged from the auxiliary battery when the auxiliary battery is being charged by an external source once it reaches 26.4 volts.
Power Saving Technology
The Smart Start SBI24D is a microprocessor controlled battery isolator that incorporates electronic components preventing the solenoid from generating high voltage transients. It is better than a diode battery isolator due to the voltage drop associated with diode type isolation. It features sophisticated fault detection and LED indication of operation to warn the user of faults including over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw conditions.
Used primarily in commercial vehicles, the Smart Start SBI is a safe way to charge auxiliary batteries and should often be installed with a high quality fuse kit.

Shipping
REDARC offers customers free freight within Australia on products purchased via the REDARC website, unless a dangerous goods charge is deemed necessary in order to ship products of a lithium chemistry.All products have a 5 day lead time before shipment after which it will be shipped via your preferred shipping method. For alternative freight options please contact REDARC at power@redarc.com.au
For international orders, freight will be calculated at time of checkout. Orders will be shipped from our factory in Lonsdale with delivery timeframes dependant on location.
