In a first for the growing RV Industry, the RV Women’s Alliance kicks off their Drab to Fab renovation Project. The project will take place in Elkhart, Indiana over the next 6 months, where women from across the industry will take a 2007 model travel trailer RV from Drab to Fab using some of the best products and accessories on the market.
The RV Women’s Alliance is dedicated to fostering the next generation of female leaders and innovators in the RV Industry. RVWA are working to inspire, support and educate with a desire to see women become a larger part of the RV Industry. Established in 2019, as of October 2020 there are almost 1000 members from nearly 400 companies.
“The Drab to Fab project is going to unite our membership and industry around a shared goal, inspire women to get out of their comfort zone and literally break down walls, recruit new women into the RV industry, and develop new skills in project volunteers,” said Susan Carpenter, the president of the RV Women’s Alliance. “Our first week of demo was so fun! Everyone who participated came away with not only a sense of accomplishment but also excitement for the transformation that will take place over the next six months.”
The whole project would not be possible without the support of industry leading sponsors and dedicated volunteers. REDARC is proud to be an active member of our local and broader community through our relationships with many sporting, social, health and well-being organisations and associations. As well as donating funds to contribute to the build, the renovated RV will be fitted out with a REDARC 12V system.
Showing our support towards such events, especially the RV Women’s Alliance undertaking the project in promoting the growth of women within the RV industry, was something REDARC wanted to get behind.
The completed RV will be revealed at the Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana, on March 3rd. The unit will then be raffled off to raise funds for RVWA. REDARC is proud to be a sponsor and is excited to see how the project unfolds.

At REDARC, we know that the heart of any great adventure lies in the technology that powers it. For over 45 years, we’ve been at the forefront of power management solutions, ensuring overlanders like the team at XOVERLAND can rely on uninterrupted power no matter where the journey takes them.
On their latest expedition, Spirit of Adventure, XOVERLAND co-founder Clay Croft and his sons are racing 8,500 miles from Bozeman, Montana, to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Along the way, they rely on REDARC’s robust products to keep their gear running smoothly, ensuring a seamless experience across rugged terrains and unpredictable weather.
Living full-time on the road for 11 years, we’ve learned that reliable power isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. From 10 wild weeks of sublime craziness in Iceland (including eight without a diesel heater) to our biggest adventure yet, the Mega Transect, we need a setup that will serve us well, no matter where we are.
